Many special custom projects too numerous to list. Co-managed Year 2000 project in addition to other projects. Involved in VIP On-Call support. Worked with Director of Information Security on many security issues and projects.

Description: In charge of managing the schedule at the help desk, making sure all calls are closed in a timely manner, and that training is attended at the appropriate times by the help desk staff. Worked with the other supervisors and managers in IT to ensure proper communication between groups, and to help out divisions that were short on staff when needed. Worked with Windows 95, 3.x, NT 4.0, and Macintosh systems.

Description: Setup the ISP’s network in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Washington D.C., and then maintained that network. Equipment to configure included Cisco 2501 routers, DigitalLink DSU/CSUs, Motorola Bitsurfr Pro ISDN boxes, Livingston Portmasters, USRobotics Netservers, as well as all telephone equipment and wiring.

Position: Escalated Technical Support and Billing

Dates: August 1995 to April 1996

Description: Hired to eliminate 1700 letter backlog in their billing email system. Users were waiting two weeks for responses to billing questions. Eliminated the backlog by getting an additional billing employee, and by implementing automation to the email system. People were able to get answers without us needing to respond. When email response was down to 2 hours I was put in charge of the Tech Support email as well. In addition to these responsibilities I was third level phone tech support when needed.

Position: Assistant to Purchasing Manager & Technology Consultant

Description: The inventory control system failed, and in the time between it’s failure and the new system going up I was in charge of maintaining inventory control through Excel spreadsheets to keep the company going. For about four months I created all the purchase orders for the Manhattan store, and Long Island warehouse using complex formulas to determine if inventory should be moved between the warehouse and the store or ordered.

Description: Helped 10 severely mentally ill and/or mentally retarded adults to integrate into society. The goal of the house is so that eventually they will move out of the house, and live on their own. Provided them with emotional support, assistance in staying on schedule with medications, and offered instruction on day to day activities that they had difficulty with such as working with money when shopping or wearing the right clothes to Church verses clothes they should wear when gardening.

Description: Worked on many Windows, Mac OS, and Linux based systems for various companies. Work was on an on-call basis. When equipment would fail or services were needed I would be available via pager. This included phone support, email, on site replacement of parts, as well as sending machines in for repair.

Description: In charge of the LANtastic network at the camp that would connect all the office computers, and printers. Responsible for making sure that everything on the network could see the server. Additional responsibilities included being the camp driver, working in the kitchen, working with maintenance, taught Stage Lighting and electrics to campers in a special theatre class, and was a camp EMT. I was known as the person that could get anything done in camp.
