That's AdSense for Content. You'll see it in the AdSense account. GoDaddy's solution is really like AdSense for Domains in that it takes over the entire www.macsearch.info site rather than just letting you put an ad on the site.

In either case if you have a domain that is somewhere and you don't care about the content and want to do Cash Parking or AdSense for Domains you can easily do that. Part of the setup process for either will be to change some DNS settings for the domain so that Google or GoDaddy are where the domain points so they can handle the content.

Make Sense?

Jeremiah comments on GoDaddy Cash Parking vs. AdSense for Domains

Thanks for comparing the two services. I have a bunch of great domain names that I am looking to use in this way, so your breakdown is definitely going to help in my decision. I just finished creating my adSense account, so we'll see how it goes. I guess my only question is, can you add either adSense or GoDaddy Cash Parking to existing web sites? I think you can with adSense, but perhaps not with GoDaddy? Thanks!

dickiemint5 comments on SmoothWall vs. PlayStation 3

Hi Joshua,
Very many thanks for the Smoothwall-PS3 workaround. Have disabled the Jabber and Gtalk as a quick way of doing things. Will have a go and edit the rc.firewall.up file at a later date.
I have been pulling my hair out over since last October. (2009) When I first set up the PS3 a year ago, I had no problem signing in. Then just after I did an update to Smoothwall Express 3, sign in to the Playstation Network failed. No error code, just 'Connection timed out'. For Christmas, when I had the Grand kids here, I took out the Smoothwall, and put in the wireless router I was using as an access point for the PS3 and a laptop. No problem with the PS3 logging in, but router kept crashing. Anyway, Christmas over, I re-instated Smoothwall, setting it up from scratch, and THEN got the error message 8002a535. Yours was the only site that came up in a Google search.
Again, very many thanks for your info. You have saved me from tearing out the rest of my hair. :)
Have a good 2010.
Richard

Joshua Levitsky comments on Consulting for $ ?

I used to say $200/hour and I used to get that doing security work... and yes it made it so that the work I did was not nonsense work, and I felt like my time wasn't being wasted. Now I'm doing more cleaning of home systems and I am not sure I can charge that much. I did start thinking I'd charge $50/hour but since I am actually paying taxes on this income then that becomes $35/hour in my pocket and that's rather dismal. I thought some more and now I'm saying $75/hour which is $52.50 in my pocket. A little more acceptable to cover some of my expenses of running a business. Probably I could find myself working up to $100/hour for this home computer support, but most people will just suffer rather than pay the $100/hour.

Definitely hard to find a balance.

nate comments on Consulting for $ ?

i'm sort of on the cusp of doing more formal independent consulting and have decided to charge the going rate in the boston area: $150/hour. i don't offer discounts for friends or family, as i'd rather maintain my free time than spend it fixing problems for others. if people pay my employer this rate for my level of service, they'll pay the same for my services when i'm solo. if not, they can look elsewhere. no hard feelings. it's business. charge what you feel you're worth, and you're more likely to get clients who can appreciate that without abusing you.

likewise, you always have the option to say "no." choose your clients; don't necessarily take any business that comes your way unless you're in no position to do so.

make your own rap beats comments on YouTube Music: ReinaDelCid

Great stuff. While you didn't actually link to the source of the information either, it basically led me to what I believe is the original info. I have added a link in the article. Again I never wrote that I created these instructions, only that I found them and I wasn't sure where. I'll leave your note up though so folks know how rude you are in case you use the same handle over there. Thanks.
